Rambam Health Care Campus Continues to Lead the Way Forward
Rambam Health Care Campus is involved in its most extensive site improvement ever, designed to dramatically improve hospitalization services, patient care, and research, and to transform Rambam into one of the most advanced medical centers in the world, and number one in the Middle East. The master plan for Rambam’s western campus calls for the construction of the 2000-bed Sammy Ofer Fortified Underground Emergency Hospital and an above-ground complex to include the Biomedical Discover Tower, a cardiovascular hospital, Ruth Rappaport Children’s Hospital, and Joseph Fishman Oncology Center.
Joseph Fishman Oncology Center
The building is designated for comprehensive services for patient-centered cancer care, including: hospitalization departments, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, ambulatory care cancer services, oncology clinics, a department of radiation oncology employing a linear accelerator and brachytherapy, a complimentary medicine wing, research, and community-based cancer prevention.

Ruth Rappaport Children’s Hospital
The 9-floor building, offering a supportive and healing environment for each patient and his family, will include 7 hospitalization departments and over 20 specialty units. The hospital will have extensive public areas, a movie theater, family rooms, and classrooms.

Cardiovascular Hospital
A modern building encompassing all the fields of cardiology: Department of Cardiology, Department of Cardiac Surgery, Department of Vascular Surgery, Invasive Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging, Cardiac Intensive Care, modern research laboratories, instructional activity aimed at the prevention of heart disease and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle in the community.

Sammy Ofer Fortified Emergency Hospital and Parking Lot
The 3-level fortified underground parking lot has space for 1,500 cars and can be transformed into a 2000-bed hospital within 72 hours in response to the exigencies of conventional, chemical, or biological warfare.
