December 2, 2024 – American Friends of Rambam Medical Center (AFORAM) is proud to welcome Naomi Reinharz to the Rambam family as the Chief Executive Officer of American Friends of Rambam Medical Center. Naomi brings a wealth of experience and a deep
commitment to both Israel and Jewish communities around the world.
Naomi Reinharz has an extensive background as both a professional and lay leader at major global Jewish and Israeli organizations. She is passionate about supporting the critical needs of Israel and her people, including their safety, security and health – core components of Rambam’s role in Israel.
Most recently, Naomi served as Chief Executive Officer of American Society of the University of Haifa (ASUH). In that role, she was responsible for significantly growing ASUH’s lay leadership, donor base, and reputation in the United States. Her previous roles include Chief Development Officer of the America-Israel Friendship League and leadership positions at ORT America, The Jewish Agency International Development, and American Jewish Committee.
An accomplished attorney, Naomi practiced corporate litigation in New York at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz LLP. She holds a B.A. from Brown University, a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and a Certificate in Jewish Philanthropy from Yeshiva University. Naomi serves on the Boards of World Jewish Congress Diplomatic Corps and Alums for Campus Fairness-Brown University Chapter Committee.

She has a comprehensive vision for strengthening the bond between America and Israel. On her new appointment, Naomi shares, “as the daughter of parents who grew up in Haifa, and with much of my extended family living there, the north of Israel holds a very special place in my heart. What the residents of that region have gone through in the past 14 months is unfathomable. It is my honor and privilege to be able to help our Israeli brothers and sisters not only in this urgent time of great need, but for the long-term. We hope to see Rambam continue to flourish as a world-class hospital serving and protecting the millions of residents living in northern Israel.”
