Rambam’s Presence Made an Impact at the IAC Summit in Florida
Rambam leadership recently participated in the Israeli-American Council (IAC) National Summit in Florida, an inspiring gathering of thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors from Israel and the U.S. The event powerfully demonstrated how bridging Israeli innovation with the global professional community can strengthen our strategic ties and drive meaningful achievements.
Rambam Health Care Campus participated in the Medical Track organized in partnership with ScienceAbroad. Rambam’s Prof. Lior Gepstein (Director of the Cardiology Division and Head of Research) moderated the panel with Rambam’s Director General Dr. Michal Mekel. They explored how AI is being integrated into clinical work. At Rambam, AI is no longer a distant vision-it is an operational reality already enhancing patient care.
Rambam’s presence was felt throughout the Summit. Prof. Rafi Beyar, former hospital director and President of the International Friends of Rambam, led a fascinating discussion on how emerging technologies are reshaping the medical landscape. He was joined by Dr. Iyad Khamaysi, Director of the Invasive Gastroenterology Unit and Director of the Uzia Galil Innovation Lab, and Prof. Michael Mimouni, Director of the Cornea Unit.
Dr. Mekel summarizes, “This opportunity created the strategic pathways that ensure tomorrow’s breakthroughs don’t just stay in the lab – they reach the place where they are most needed as quickly as possible – our patients.”
