Newsweek Magazine Names Rambam as One of Top Three Hospitals in Israel
Rambam Health Care Campus is proud to share that Newsweek magazine’s annual in-depth study of hospitals in 25 different countries around the world has ranked Rambam as one of the top three hospitals in Israel. This is the third year that Newsweek has conducted such a study, and Rambam has consistently ranked among the top four hospitals in the country.
The rankings were determined through a combination of recommendations from medical experts (doctors, healthcare professionals, and hospital managers), results from patient surveys, and medical KPIs (key performance indicators) from a variety of public sources. According to the magazine, “The hospitals named in this list stand out for their consistent excellence, including distinguished physicians, top-notch nursing care and state-of-the-art technology.” Scores for each hospital were calculated by combining the results from each of the aforementioned components, with each component accounting for a weighted percentage of the total (peer recommendations accounted for 55%, patient experience accounted for 15%, and medical KPIs accounted for 30% of the score). Rambam’s score was 90.56%, earning it a third-place ranking in the top ten and the top hospital in Northern Israel. Notes Dr. Michael Halberthal, Rambam’s General Director, “I am pleased to see that the work we do here at Rambam has been recognized for the third year in a row by a respected international publication like Newsweek – especially given the challenges we have been facing for the past year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m profoundly grateful to our dedicated, professional staff, whose members work hard and give of themselves every day for the benefit of our patients, their families, and the residents of Northern Israel.” To see the Newsweek rankings, click here. |
