
Rambam Treats Three Members of Elite Counter-terrorism Unit Following Clashes in West Bank
March 8: Three members of Israel’s elite national counter-terrorism unit, “Yamam” were wounded in clashes in the West Bank city of Jenin yesterday, Tuesday, March 7, 2023. The wounded were evacuated to Rambam Health Care Campus (Rambam) in Haifa, Israel, for treatment.
Dr. Hany Bahouth, Rambam’s director, Division of Emergency Medicine & Trauma, comments, “One member of the elite force was evacuated by helicopter to Rambam and his condition is reported to be moderate. The other two are being treated for light injuries; they are conscious, responsive, and communicative.”
Rambam Health Care Campus is a 1,019-bed academic governmental hospital serving more than 2 million residents of Northern Israel and defense and peacekeeping forces. It is the only level-1 trauma center in the region. It is the tertiary referral center for 12 district hospitals and provides comprehensive medical services in all medical specialties.
