Women Who Inspire Luncheon
The Women Who Inspire Luncheon on Friday, May 11, 2018, at the magnificent Filoli Gardens south of San Francisco, attracted 120 guests from the greater Silicon Valley.
A highlight of the Luncheon was a dynamic panel discussion on the topic Inspired Women Lead: Stepping Up, Using our Voices and Sharing our Stories. The panel host was Becky Waller Bausman, a communication strategist, who was accompanied by guest speakers Ilana Golan and Michal Mekel, MD. All three women have successfully broken the glass-ceiling in their respective careers and shared wisdom, professional stories, and insights to navigate the path toward personal and professional fulfillment and leadership.
The Luncheon benefited the high-risk obstetrics unit at Rambam Health Care Campus for women experiencing complicated pregnancies and deliveries.
Zahava Cedar, the Luncheon event chair, quoted the brilliant physician-philosopher, known as the Rambam or also as Maimonides, who once said, “One who saves a life it is as if she had saved a whole world. On behalf of American Friends of Rambam, thank you for joining us to save the ‘worlds’ of generations yet to come.”
American Friends of Rambam thanks our entire Luncheon committee for their dedication to ensuring this event’s success, including Zahava Cedar, Rachel Cedar, Liora Gerzberg, Chagit Ofir, MD, Susan Packer, Liron Rozen, Pnina Simel and Andrea Vuturo.
