On October 22, 2017, American Friends of Rambam hosted an elegant afternoon soiree and fundraiser for Rambam’s Joseph Fishman Oncology Center in Los Angeles.

The inspirational words of Arthur Ashe, “From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life,” shared by committee member Dalia Melamed, helped set the stage for this inspiring AFORAM event.  This inspiring event raised funds to help complete construction of the Radiation Therapy Floor of the Joseph Fishman Oncology Center.  Heartfelt personal reflections from Rambam’s Dr. Tomer Charas, and committee member Yossef Sagi, the grandson of Joseph Fishman, stirred the audience to action.  The event surpassed all expectations as the mindset of selfless giving began to spread.  We are grateful to our remarkable hosts and guests for sharing their compassion and support for families with cancer in Israel.
