When the North is Under Attack – How You Can Help

The Sammy Ofer Fortified Underground Emergency Hospital

On the frontline of medical care, Israel’s largest Fortified Underground Emergency Hospital is fully activated with patients aboveground moved belowground, including patients evacuated from as far away as Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva, and from other unfortified hospitals in the region.

Northern Israel has been confronting a perilous and heartbreaking reality since the beginning of Swords of Iron and now during Operation Rising Lion. Rambam Health Care Campus’ three level underground parking structure – the Sammy Ofer Fortified Underground Emergency Hospital – is fully operational and receiving patients.  This 2,000+ bed facility is designed to operate under the threats of conventional, biological and chemical attacks, and is the designated care provider for injured IDF soldiers and civilians.

Rambam is a vital national security resource and is home to the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region. Rambam stands ready, but we need your support to ensure our operating rooms can run 24/7.

The hospital still needs additional, portable medical equipment, such as:

  • ICU beds and monitoring equipment
  • Disposables and general equipment
  • Surgical equipment
  • Specialized burn and orthopedic equipment
  • Portable imaging equipment

We cannot do meet the challenges ahead without your help.
