July 1, 2026 – Rambam Health Care Campus (Rambam) in Haifa, has joined a select international network of leading medical centers training the next generation of oral and maxillofacial specialists.
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Rambam has been selected to serve as a Host Center in the international fellowship program, the Association of Osteosynthesis Craniomaxillofacial Surgery (AO CMF), an international organization in craniomaxillofacial surgery.
The AO CMF training network spans leading university hospitals and medical centers across the globe. Rambam’s acceptance into this prestigious network places it alongside internationally renowned institutions at the forefront of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
As part of the program, Rambam will host young physicians for six- to eight-week clinical fellowships. During their training, fellows will gain exposure to complex surgical procedures, work with advanced technologies, receive mentorship from the department’s specialists, and participate in the hospital’s academic and research activities.
Dr. Omri Emodi, Director of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Rambam, and Dr. Amir Wolf, the Department’s Deputy Director, emphasized that Rambam, as Northern Israel’s only Level I Trauma Center and a leading academic medical center, has developed extensive expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery. They noted that the Department’s selection as a Host Center for the fellowship program marks a significant milestone, reflecting the high professional standards it has achieved. The designation will enable the Department to train young physicians from around the world, share its knowledge and experience, and strengthen international collaborations.
