Swim from the Heart to be Held on Friday, May 28th
May 28, 2021 – “Swim From the Heart – Cape Carmel” will be held to raise awareness of and mobilize funding for research for preventing sudden cardiac death in children and adolescents.
Hundreds of swimmers including children, teenagers, and adults are expected to participate in this year’s annual “Swim from the Heart”, which will be held on Friday, May 28th, 2021. This is the swim’s sixth year.
The swim is led by the Haifa Municipality Sports Authority in cooperation with Rambam Health Care Campus, and there will be three heats: “Amateur” (900 meters), “Intermediate” (2.5 km), and “Advanced” (4.2 km), in which the participants will swim around Cape Carmel.
The swim has become a tradition in the city, promoting the medical goal of saving lives by raising awareness and funds for Rambam-led research in predicting and preventing Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD) among children and young people to the age of 35.
